European Days of Jewish Culture 2025 – Theme: People of the Book

This autumn, the European Days of Jewish Culture (EDJC) will once again take place – an annual celebration of Jewish history, art, traditions, and spiritual heritage.

The event will officially launch on September 7th in Stockholm, with programs continuing across Europe until November 2025, including a wide range of events in the Czech Republic.

This year’s theme, “People of the Book,” highlights the deep connection of Jewish tradition to education, texts, and the transmission of knowledge. Books, manuscripts, Torah scrolls, and commentaries have shaped Jewish identity for centuries – and continue to do so to this day.

In the Czech Republic, the EDJC is coordinated by the Federation of Jewish Communities, which has been involved in the project since 2003. We sincerely thank all our partners across the country for preparing another rich and diverse program for the public this year.

A list of events in the Czech Republic can be found below.

We warmly invite you to join us in exploring the richness of Jewish culture – we look forward to seeing you!
