On Wednesday, November 2, 2022, we hosted an international meeting of special envoys and coordinators combating antisemitism organized by the World Jewish Congress in Prague.
Agenda of the meeting was:
1) Developing tools and research to foster Jewish life
2) Tackling antisemitism on social media
3) The climate for Jewish students on campus
4) Developing new networks to fight hate
President of the Federation of Jewish communities in the Czech Republic, Petr Papoušek, presented the results of monitoring antisemitism in the Czech Republic. The analysis of the 2021 data has pointed to a disturbing trend of rising numbers of recorded manifestations of threatening, approving, justifying or calling for physical aggression. Mr. Papousek also pointed out that social networks continue to be the dominant platform on which the publication and dissemination of manifestations of antisemitism occurs almost daily.
