The year 2024 marks the 85th anniversary of the event that later became known as Kindertransport. Thanks to the dedication and courage of many people, more than 10,000 children from Nazi-threatened Europe, including children from Czechoslovakia, were given the chance of a lifetime. On the occasion of this anniversary and given its timeliness, the Federation of Jewish Communities in Czech Republic, in cooperation with other institutions, would like to pay tribute to the mostly nameless activists and volunteers who gave up their personal comfort, time and often money to help other human beings fleeing persecution.
